Casa Roberto Marinho, a center of reference for modernism, is opening the sixth exhibition in its one and one-half years of existence

Rarely in our historiography has there been an examination that relates the innovative path of photography with that of painting in the twentieth century. The many looks back at the period have generally treated them as isolated worlds, except in those cases of artists who built their oeuvres by registering the incidence of light through both lens and brush.

This exhibition, curated by Paulo Venancio Filho and Marcia Mello, allows the visitor to see the correspondences, permeabilities, dialogues and influences between these two fields, just as they enriched the history of our art, in that period when Brazil dreamed of being modern.

And, today, Duplo Olhar helps us to appreciate the importance of that generation of artists, regardless of technique or médium of expression.
